Linda DeFries
HEAD COACH
Coach Linda is excited to join the Marina Dance Team and begin this new chapter with the program. Originally from Anaheim, she developed her love of dance as a member of her high school dance team before later returning to coach the very program where her own dance journey began.
In addition to her coaching experience, Coach Linda performed in a variety of shows, parades, and special events at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, further fueling her passion for dance and performance. Dance has always been an important part of her life, and she is excited to share her knowledge, experience, and love of the art with the next generation of dancers.
Coach Linda is dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment where every dancer feels encouraged to have fun, build confidence, develop strong teamwork skills, and grow both as a dancer and as an individual. Her goal is for every member of the team to feel welcomed, supported, and excited to be part of the Marina Dance Team.
Kaitlin Alexander
TEAM ADVISOR & COACH
Coach Kaitlin is proud to continue her journey with the Marina Dance Team, where she was once a dancer herself and served as Varsity Captain during her senior year. Since becoming Head Coach in August 2021 and Team Advisor in July 2025, she has been dedicated to building a positive, supportive, and successful program. Dance has been a lifelong passion, complemented by her background in competitive cheerleading and her degree in education.
While she has stepped away from the Head Coach position, Coach Kaitlin remains actively involved as the Team Advisor and will continue supporting the program and coaching staff as needed. She loves helping dancers grow not only in their technical skills, but also in their confidence, leadership, and sense of teamwork. Her goal has always been to make every dancer feel valued, inspired, and proud to be part of the Marina Dance Team family.
